Refined pair of French Art Deco bookends from the 1930s featuring mirrored Barzoi (Borzoi) dogs. Cast in spelter with a rich bronze/copper patina and mounted on original marble bases. Strongly sculptural with elegant proportions typical of the period. Both bookends retain their original leather undersides.
Approx. dimensions (each): Width 7.1 in (18.5 cm); depth 3.93 in (10 cm); height 5.91 in (15 cm).
Approx. weight: 3.22 lb (1.46 kg) each
Condition: Very good vintage condition with minor wear to leather undersides consistent with age. No chips to the marble bases.
