Two original iron supports are wedged on both sides to support such a large piece of solid wood. Made from a single block of hardwood, the block is very heavy and solid. A wonderful piece to use as a decorative centrepiece, or cheese / food board. The wood has aged significantly over the many decades, with its imperfections and wood texture adding to its charm.
