The piece is created in the manner of the Avem company. Have seen similars with "Venetian" labels as well. The owl is made with several thick glass layers. It has an inner core of clear glass, with opal white layer next, caramel color over that, and a controlled bubble "Bullicante" layer as well. The figurine is filled with heavy silver leaf that are caught in the indents of the bubbles. The bright green eyes are made with flower murrines. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity, or coffee table. Use it as a paperweight, or display it as a sculptural piece. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. For accuracy, there is a spot where it is rough to the touch on the body. Please see the last photo. Sold as is and priced accordingly. Made in solid glass and heavy for its size. Late Mid-century era. Measures 4 3/4" tall x 3 1/2" long x 2 3/4" wide.
