The period is defined by the striped wallpaper, the Empire round side table and the saber leg chairs in addition to the details of their dress and hair . On the Empire pedestal table a painted tole tray sits with another glass as well as dark green bottle You may notice that the woman's particularly long neck. This was considered a very desirable physical attribute for a woman in this period.
