Each vase has a rounded body, a waisted neck with a slightly flared rim, and two symmetrical handles shaped as stylized animal heads.
The decoration consists of lively scenes showing children playing among trees, rocks, and architectural elements in a garden setting. The color palette includes dominant green enamels, underglaze blue, and overglaze enamels in red, yellow, green, and black. The background is white porcelain glaze.
On the base of each vase is a square seal mark in reddish-brown pigment containing Chinese characters that include references to the Xuande period (宣德). The mark is apocryphal (imitative), a feature commonly found on porcelain imitating earlier periods.
The shape, motif (children at play), and color scheme are consistent with Chinese export porcelain produced in Jingdezhen. The items may be of considerable age. See less
