A beautifully crafted Arts & Crafts hand‑hammered sterling silver tea set by Whiting, c.1890–1910, comprising a teapot, creamer, and sugar. … Read more A beautifully crafted Arts & Crafts hand‑hammered sterling silver tea set by Whiting, c.1890–1910, comprising a teapot, creamer, and sugar. All three pieces feature Whiting’s signature even, finely executed hammering, giving the set a unified and sculptural presence. The teapot includes original Bakelite heat‑resistant inserts on the handle and is marked with Whiting’s hallmark bird, STERLING, and pattern number 1608A. The creamer and sugar carry the same hallmark with pattern number 1509A. Each piece is monogrammed KLV in a period‑appropriate script. Interiors retain a light gold wash, typical of Whiting’s higher‑grade hollowware. The set is in excellent antique condition with no dents, no repairs, and a tight hinge on the teapot. Recently professionally polished, the silver shows beautifully. Total weight: approx. 18 oz troy (510g) - Teapot: ~11 oz, Creamer: ~3 oz, Sugar: ~4 oz. Dimensions:
Teapot: approx. 6" H × 5" W × 8.5" L, Creamer: approx. 3.25" diameter + 1.25" handle, Sugar: approx. 3.5" diameter + two 1.25" handles.
