1880s brass plaque for Edwin C. Burt Shoes for Woman, showing all their medals from New Orelans, Paris, Vienna, and Philadelphia exhibitions from 1867 to 1884. Edwin Burt's (1818-1884) company made and sold shoes from 1838-1898. This would have been mounted in a shoe store or department store of the late 19th century. This could be easily framed for hanging for fashion collectors.
