They are upholstered in a cotton crewel fabric that features birds and branches rendered in subtle colors. The quality of the upholstery is exquisite! Each diminutive settee is fitted with a single cushion that is held in place by four hooks and straps, two on each side of the cushion (refer to picture 9). The legs are crafted from mahogany and feature a carved shell at the top of each one. These settees are in remarkably good condition with no stains on the upholstery. One leg has a bit of white paint on it (refer to picture 6).

I photographed this pair of settees outside on a January afternoon close to sunset, which gave a warm glow to them. They will invariably look different when viewed in an interior setting under artificial light. Please take this into consideration when matching colors.
