Vivid petals of yellow and fuchsia with reaching stems exude wild energy in contrast to the perfectly formed blue porcelain vase that holds them. Cool periwinkles and seaglass green provide a tranquil ground. The subtle gold of the vintage frame and soft edged strokes of paint contribute to an overall tranquil quality in this beautiful piece. It measures 14 5/8 x 20 5/8 inches framed (12 x 18 painting) and is ready to hang. Oil on canvas board with a few areas of paint loss. Please see all photos and the condition report for details. Since it is painted on canvas board, it shows no signs of instability or risk of future loss to the paint. The frame is in very good, very sturdy vintage condition with only minor chips and dings. The dust cover paper and hanging wire are brand new, but I’ve reattached the label from a previous framer for provenance. Comes ready to hang. Please see all photos for details. less
