Bought in Paris, this regal pair of silverplated candelabras dates to the early 20th Century (circa 1920–1935). Featuring the fluid, ribbon-style arms characteristic of the late Art Nouveau and Art Deco transition, these pieces represent the pinnacle of French interwar dining elegance.
They remain in excellent vintage condition with a remarkable luster. Notably, they possess a delicate, rosy glow, a classic sign of Silver on Copper construction. This method was widely used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Over decades of polishing, the thin layer of silver wears down, allowing the warm copper base metal to "bleed" through.
Perfect for flanking a mantel or centering a formal dinner. Pair these with cream-colored beeswax tapers to complement the natural pink undertones of the silver.
