Pencil reed rattan bell flower dining table, featuring a unique, sculptural pedestal base made of woven rattan with a clear glass top. These tables are often associated with the Mid-Century Modern or Coastal design style and were popular in the 1970s and 1980s.
The base is crafted from natural rattan and pencil reed, hand-woven over a frame. It is topped with a clear, round glass surface.
The distinctive base resembles an opening flower or a bell, leading to names like "Bell Flower" or "Lotus" table. It offers an airy, tropical, and organic modern aesthetic.
Similar designs are sometimes attributed to Italian designer Gabriella Crespi, known for her use of natural materials in sculptural forms.
Dimension below are for base with glass top. Base alone is D 42".
