Impressive scale and quality, this antique … Read more Large scale Italian majolica wall plaque with dimensional fruit, leaves and a young Jesus. Impressive scale and quality, this antique is signed on the back as shown. While it displays well as found this has many superficial flaws and small edge chips. Took many photos but there are consistent areas that show loss of glaze, most are only skin deep, some have minor chipping involved. Some have been touched up. Moderate crazing as expected but not bad. Did noticed a contained, hairline crack that runs from the leaves around the edge and into the back side. Some light chipping around the hole that would support a string or wire to hang. This really looks nice and makes a strong impression as found but has seen some handling and far from mint condition.
