Up for sale is a rare antique 18th century pewter and porcelain French writing inkwell.
The base of the jar is made of a white porcelain which is beautifully painted and signed "France" on the bottom.
The inkwell has a forged and hinged pewter lid that is nicely engraved and has a dimensional cherub on the top.
It has a pewter circular foot on the bottom along with two pen stands on the sides.
It has acquired a lovely patina from age, is in good antique condition, and measures 4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall.
