This is a high-back Fritz Hansen Oxford lounge chair and matching ottoman, originally designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1963 is in good used condition. Stable and sound in construction, it swivels. Fabric has faded and sings of use is visible, please refer to pictures. Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, ‘Oxford' lounge/desk chair model 3272, aluminium, wood, fabric upholstery. The original version of the 'Oxford' chair was designed for the professors at St. Catherine’s College in Oxford. Later on, Arne Jacobsen developed the design into different models. The 3272 features an extra high back that shows an organic line and floats over into the seat. This shell is build out of moulded wood covered with foam and upholstered in blue ish grey ish fabric. The armrests as well as the five-star base with round feet are shown in satin-polished aluminium. Chair: W:61cm, D:75cm, H:112cm, SH:42cm. Footstool: W:58cm, D:43cm, H:42cm.
