Monumental parade vase with lid surmounted by a pine cone-shaped knob richly decorated with relief motifs featuring plant details. The side handles are symmetrical with a sinuous shape, made of skillfully chiseled gilded bronze. The central body is wide and slightly bulbous and features a large painted reserve in the center depicting a gallant scene. The central scene is surrounded by an extremely elaborate gilded frame with scroll, leaf, and interlacing motifs. Underneath the body is a gilded quadrangular base chiseled with leaf motifs. P.S. The vase has a central bronze pin that allows it to rotate and be divided into two parts. Condition: Excellent condition. Provenance: France (1860/70) Measurements: Diameter 33cm. Height 77cm.
