Elegant late-19th to early-20th-century oval frame featuring raised gesso ornamentation over wood, finished in a softly aged patina with beautiful depth and character. The frame houses a vintage floral print in muted blush, rose, and slate tones, offering a romantic, timeless presence. The glass is original convex style.
The antique frame is in very nice condition, showing only very few small gesso knicks consistent with age. Later backing and hanging wire. The piece presents beautifully and is ready to hang.
A highly decorative example well suited to French country, Victorian, traditional, English cottage, or layered modern interiors, whether styled alone or as part of a gallery wall.
