We are selling this great primitive Folk Art Americana double portrait. This miniature double portrait is very interestingly done. Both Husband and Wife are executed by the same hand, her facing the camera straight on in dark puffy dress with long necklace and holding a red book. The husband is posed in suit with a slightly angled pose also holding a red book. The paintings appear to be circa 1830-1850. Have not opened the back to see if they are signed or identified.
Condition: Some browning, staining, burning to the paper. Hole punched through the gold mat.
