an exquisite corbeille armchair made around 1820 in france, in the louis xvi style, crafted from carved and gilded wood. Its sinuous backrest follows the corbeille design and is finished with an exceptionally high-quality floral crest. the seat, backrest, and armrests have been recently reupholstered in an original combination of two fabrics from the prestigious and renowned brand pierre frey, a maison founded in 1935 in paris by the eponymous designer. Maison pierre frey now offers wallpapers and wall coverings, rugs, decorative items, and furniture, in addition to fabrics for interior design. The sides of the backrest are finished in a muted yellow faux-plain, while the centerpiece is an exquisite off-white fabric with floral embroidery.
