Knoll produced these mushroom-shaped vases in a variety of sizes and colors.
Architect, designer, and sculptor, Angelo Mangiarotti was a leading figure thanks to his eclectic career, which saw him involved in various types of projects, from product design to sculpture and architecture. Born in Milan in 1921, after graduating in architecture from the Polytechnic University, he worked on the staging of the Milan Triennale in 1948. In 1955, he founded a design studio in Milan with his colleague Bruno Morassutti.
Among Mangiarotti's most recognizable projects are those for Agape: the modular bookcase “Cavalletto,” the chair “Tre3,” and the tables Eros and Eccentrico, made using Carrara marble.
