Antique Japanese goshu mizuya kitchen cabinet, crafted from cedar and elm, featuring two sliding doors and three drawers.
The chest has a large compartment above the three drawers accessed by sliding panels with horizontal slats and iron latch. This storage chest would have been used to hold a number of kitchen related items as well as personal belongings. This antique storage tansu features the original hand wrought hardware and side bails that contrast beautifully with the light, natural wood. This piece is very well built, sturdy and light for it's size.
