This set of three brass and glass lanterns, model L102/32, was designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced by his Markaryd workshop in the second half of the twentieth century. Jakobsson is renowned for his refined manipulation of light and material, and this model exemplifies his characteristic approach: softly tinted blown-glass domes paired with warm brass bases to create an atmospheric, diffused glow.
Each lantern features a cylindrical brass stem rising from a circular base, topped with a domed glass shade in subtly varied tones. The interplay between the luminous glass and polished brass reflects Jakobsson’s aim to create lighting that is sculptural, warm, and understated.
The three lanterns display beautifully as a grouped set or as individual accent pieces. Their clean Scandinavian lines suit both contemporary and vintage-influenced interiors.
