It is a salt cellar used for holding and dispensing salt at the table, it likely be dated to the early 20th century as this is when glass liners were added to salt cellars to avoid corrosion to the metal. The liner to this piece is made in a stunning cobalt blue color, and it sits inside of a gorgeous silver plated bowl that has Smooth pedestal base with elaborate clam shell top and corners.
The measurements are: height=2" width=4" depth=3.25" approx.
