Company History: The Meriden Britannia Company was founded in 1869 in Meriden, Connecticut. It was a prominent American manufacturer of silver-plated wares during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Merger: Meriden Britannia was one of the original companies that merged to form the International Silver Company in 1898. The "Meriden B Co." hallmark was used for many years into the 20th Century by the International Silver Company
