The frame features pronounced high-relief carving set against a finely textured background, a characteristic technique seen in dutch historicist craftsmanship of the late 1800s.

at the center sits the original facet-cut mirror glass (bevelled / faceted edges), which beautifully refracts light and adds depth and elegance. The inner carved border enhances the layered architectural composition, giving the mirror a strong decorative and sculptural presence.

“j. Sala & zonen – hofleveranciers van z.m. Den koning – leiden”
