Elegant French Louis XV style giltwood mirror featuring an ornate Rococo-inspired frame with richly carved floral and acanthus ornamentation throughout.
The mirror is crowned by an elaborate pierced crest centered with floral motifs and scrolling details, while additional carved decoration continues along the lower corners and apron. The softly arched upper silhouette and warm gilt finish give the piece a classic French character.
Constructed with a traditional gilded composition and plaster decorated frame over a wood structure, the mirror displays finely modeled Rococo ornament
The mirror retains a 1-inch beveled edge, adding depth and refinement to the design. Sized at 40 inches wide by 64 inches high, this piece works beautifully above a console, mantel, dresser, or as a statement wall mirror.
