This is a beautiful studio pottery bowl by Mishi Nojima (1916–2011), a Berkeley-based artist active primarily in the 1950s–70s. Nojima is celebrated for her functional yet expressive ceramics, which include bowls, plates, and other open forms often enhanced by subtle sgraffito decoration.
Her work is featured in Mills College Art Museum and the Oakland Museum of California. Signed to the bottom "Mishi Nojima."
