The rectangular form opens to a fitted interior with two separate lidded compartments, originally intended for different tea varieties. The lid interior is lined with dark floral paper, and the interior wells appear metal-lined, consistent with tea storage practices of the period. A shaped key escutcheon remains on the front, adding visual interest even without the original key. See less
