Written by the famed, wildly popular, Silent film star, Ray starred in a number of movies, where he was the good-natured, simple man. They included "Homer Comes Home" ,"The Girl I Loved," and many more. When Talkies arrived, his roles diminished. Ray described his 1935 book as "compiled from incidents in the everyday life of men and women who entertain in pictures." Published by California Graphic Press, there are many charming b/w illustrations by Janice and Fred Penney. There also is a small photo of Charles Ray, preceding the title page. The interior of the 177-pg, book is clean, bright, unmarked & unfoxed. The gilt-titled, brown textured cover is in very good vintage condition, with mild corner wear, as expected in vintage books..
