Renowned architect and designer, Frank Gehry, started experimenting with corrugated cardboard furniture in the 1970's. This Vitra miniature replica is an ode to Gehry's 'Little Beaver' design complete with layers of cut cardboard and wavy lines curving in and out. The original was surprisingly sturdy and comfortable...we'll have to ask Barbie her opinion of this miniaturized one!
The miniature chair is in good condition with some signs of age and handling though nothing truly objectionable. The original was also designed with an ottoman which is now missing in action and the original packaging has also disappeared. Their absence is reflected in the pricing.
