The piece is executed in intense cobalt blue glass with inclusions of gold and silver leaf hot-encapsulated within the glass mass, a traditional Murano technique that provides optical depth and a refined interplay of reflections. These inclusions are completely sealed within the glass, becoming an integral part of the structure and design.

The fins and tail, made of clear glass, contrast with the chromatic body and lend visual lightness and dynamism to the composition. The ascending silhouette and the sculptural treatment of the volume are characteristic of the figurative work developed by Vincenzo Nason during the second half of the 20th century.
