Produced in 1966 by Edition Panderma, Basel, this piece is part of Edition of 230.Max Mahlmann (1912–2000) was a German Constructivist painter. After WWII, he moved away from figurative art to explore systematic constructive principles. His work is characterized by the "System of Systems," investigating the structural possibilities of the square, the grid, and diagonal shifts. Mahlmann was a key member of the "Neue Gruppe Hamburg" and dedicated his life to the objective clarity of geometric form, often working in series that explore the logical permutation of color and shape.Condition:
