Zonnebloemen (1928) by Lou Loeber for Edition Panderma, Basel, 1928This serigraph, titled Zonnebloemen (1928), is a work by Lou Loeber. Produced in 1928 by Edition Panderma, Basel, this piece is part of Edition of 230.Lou Loeber (1894–1983) was a Dutch painter whose work bridges De Stijl, Cubism, and social realism. Influenced by Piet Mondrian and Toon Verhoef, she developed a style of "diagonal composition" using simplified geometric forms and bold, flat colors. Unlike strict abstract artists, Loeber often retained figurative elements (houses, factories, sunflowers), seeking to make modern art accessible to the working class. Her work is a unique blend of social utopianism and constructivist aesthetics.Condition:
