Produced in 1981 by Edition Partanen, Schluchsee, this piece is part of Edition of 90.Lauri Laine (b. 1946, Helsinki) is a Finnish painter whose work bridges the gap between Constructivism and a more painterly, light-infused abstraction. While his early work in the 1980s was strictly geometric, exploring the interaction of form and structure, his later work evolved towards the "Neo-Baroque," investigating light, space, and figure in a more fluid manner. The serigraphs from his constructivist period display a masterful control of composition and a dialogue with the European tradition of concrete art.Condition:
