Kinetische Scheibe 25 by Wolfgang Ludwig for Edition Panderma, Basel, 1966This silkscreen, titled Kinetische Scheibe 25, is a work by Wolfgang Ludwig. Produced in 1966 by Edition Panderma, Basel, this piece is part of Edition of 230.Wolfgang Ludwig (1923–2009) was a German artist associated with Op Art and visual research. His "Cinematic Painting" explores the physiological effects of viewing, often using radial discs and vibrating lines to create motion and flicker effects in the eye of the beholder. Ludwig was interested in the boundary between static image and moving perception. As a professor in Berlin, he influenced the development of visual communication and systematic art.Condition:
