The armchairs feature a harmonious and well-proportioned structure, characterized by saber-shaped legs at both front and back, a typical element of the period, and contoured armrests with refined, understated, flat scroll-turning, fully attributable to the formal language of the Directoire style. The slightly inclined backrests and wide seats ensure a comfortable and well-balanced seat. The wooden structure is solid and stable, with well-preserved surfaces that enhance the natural grain of the walnut. The upholstery has been recently redone, using a light-colored fabric decorated with classic tone-on-tone motifs; It is in excellent condition, clean and intact, with no particular signs of wear. Due to its size and type, the pair is suitable for elegantly furnishing a bedroom, a living room, a study, or a small reception area.
