Unique tall stoneware vase by ceramist Melike Abasiyanik for Royal Copenhagen.
Made 1960s.
The flask shaped vase has a sand colored speckled glaze. On the two opposite sides, it is decorated with a simple decor in blue and brown.
The the bottom of the vase is marked with the 3 wave logo for Royal Copenhagen and "m" for Melike Abasiyanik.
It doesn't show a model or decor number as it is a unique piece.
The vase is a factory first edition!
It´s in excellent vintage condition.
It's a heavy piece which weighs almost 3kg.
Melike Abasiyanik Kurtiç (1930-2021) was an important ceramist born in Turkey. from 1963 to 1966 she was invited by Royal Copenhagen where she focused on single-piece ceramic forms and glaze research over a four-year period. This piece has an attribution mark,
