It's … Read more Up for sale is a rare antique 18th century hand forged pewter plate made by master pewterer William Cowell.
It's forged out of thick pewter and has acquired a lovely patina from age and use.
The plate bears a Cowell touch-marks on the backside along with property marks that date to late 18th century.
His works can be seen in many museums including the MET New York and Brooklyn Museum.
It's in nice antique condition and measure 9 1/4 inches in diameter.
The plate does have light dings and surface scratching along with a weld mark on back.
