The central medallions depict ducks shown in flight, landing, and wading among softly rendered reeds, with careful attention paid to movement, proportion, and naturalistic detail. The birds are finely outlined in delicate wirework and filled with subtly shaded enamels that give depth and liveliness to the scene.


The central imagery is set against a finely crackled white ground, gently washed with pale turquoise tones that suggest water and atmosphere without heavy outlining. This restrained use of color enhances the sense of openness and refinement, allowing the ducks and reeds to remain the visual focus.
