Large Italian ceramic umbrella stand from the 1960s, decorated with a bold rhythmic pattern of geometric blue bands and stylised red elephants.
The combination of strong graphic lines and symbolic animal motifs is characteristic of Italian studio and workshop ceramics of the mid-century period.
