A highly impressive and high-quality antique French chandelier from the late 19th century, crafted from richly decorated gilded bronze (ormolu). This exceptional piece is characterized by its large size and refined classical design, featuring elegant curved arms, laurel garlands, acanthus leaves, and floral ornamentation.

The chandelier boasts a powerful architectural design with a central column and eight symmetrically placed light arms, creating a stately and balanced appearance. Its generous dimensions and heavy material make it a striking statement piece, ideally suited for a mansion, historic building, hotel lobby, or prestigious salon.

This chandelier was originally made for gas lighting, which is clearly recognizable by its construction and detailing. Later, the fixture was expertly and carefully converted to electric lighting, while retaining its historic character. The candle sockets visually complement the original design perfectly.

The lamp is in very good condition, with a beautiful, authentic patina commensurate with its age. Structurally sound, complete, and fully functional.
