Blending nomadic village charm and Folk Art warmth with ancient symbolism, this hand-knotted wool distressed antique Persian Afshar rug beautifully showcases trial style in subdued colors. The antique washed field features an all-over geometric pattern composed of a small hexagonal medallion flanked with two large-scale cruciform motifs outlined with repeating boteh bands creating an Expansion effect. It is enclosed with a leaf and diamond meander border flanked with an inner and outer carnation meander guard band. Rendered in muted hues and variegated shades of tan, taupe, mint, rose, khaki, ecru, camel, coffee, sage, light pink, greige, and mushroom with other neutral accent colors. Distressed.
