Handsome and beautifully executed Mid 20th Century. Estate Landscape.
American Impressionist style, with a 20th boost of color and slightly more modern brushstrokes.
A fine home, dependencies, gorgeous foliage and trees, alongside a calm stream. To our eyes it is Maine or New England, with a wide and deep range of greens and blues offset with the brick red masonry of the main house.
30.5" wide by 22.5" tall - approx .5 deep.
Artist signed in lower right, presented in a hand-carved gilt frame.
Provenance from a fine Melrose, Park, Pennsylvania gallery - a very nice package for sure.

A great painting is a great painting, and we have a genuine fondness for American 20th C. - which so often presents as fine traditional work without the exact constraint of the previous century...which actually only makes it better!
This piece is clearly an heirloom - a large size, a significant frame, and very fine skill in the image.
The trees alone make this a wonderful picture!
