Beautiful hand blown swirls of cobalt blue and white colors art glass paperweight with lots of controlled air bubbles * Signed and numbered at the base E66963 * Made in Scotland * In excellent condition FREE from damage, chips, cracks or fleabites.
Since 1961 Caithness Glass has established a proud tradition of fine glassmaking. The original site in the far north of Scotland and in 1968 she was granted a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. The following year the introduction of the first Caithness Glass limited edition paperweights, 'The Planets Set', designed by Colin Terris. These ground-breaking abstract creations, and others that quickly followed, succeeded in thrusting Caithness Glass to the forefront of modern paperweight design. Each Caithness paperweight is a unique work of art.
