'Food As Art'...that could be the motto of artist Patianne Stevenson as her fascinating cardboard food creations are truly sculptural delights. This piece is modeled after a Victorian two-tiered dessert stand and features nine delectable sweet creations all in recycled cardboard and paper. Almost every bite sized treat is chocolate or cream but there are a couple touched with color...lemon yellow and raspberry red. Each confection sits upon a white scalloped edged doily and the stand is ornately decorated in curlicues and swags of festooned cardboard. Perfect as a conversation piece in a whimsical art collection or a thoughtful gift for your favorite baker. Signed and dated 2008 on the base.
