Decorate an outside front door or a backyard with this elegant pair of Lévriers (French for greyhound). Crafted in southern France and carved from stone, each tall greyhound sits proudly on its haunches with an attentive expression and a stylized collar encircling the neck. The sculptural forms are set on integral flat bases, offering stability for outdoor placement. Both stone canines are in excellent condition and adorn a rich patinated antique weathered finish with evidence of outdoor use. Ideal as sentinels on either side of a front entrance, flanking a garden path, or standing guard in a landscaped courtyard, this refined pair brings sculptural elegance and a classical European sensibility to any exterior or interior setting. Each of the dogs weigh 81 pounds.
The Greyhound is a sight hound which has been bred for coursing game and greyhound racing. Since the rise in large scale adoption of retired racing Greyhound, the breed has seen a resurgence in popularity as a family pet; it is also referred to as an English Greyhound.
