Each piece documents a stage in the progression of the screen-printing process, emphasizing transformation while maintaining a shared visual core.

Two of the prints are layered over antique National Geographic atlas pages—one featuring Texas, the other Oregon—while the third is printed on a plain, neutral white background. The contrast between mapped geography and blank space highlights the idea of relocation: while living beings may move across landscapes, they remain unchanged at their essence.

Custom matted and framed in wood, these works are designed to be displayed together and are sold exclusively as a set. The trio functions as a single narrative, balancing history, craft, and symbolism.

All pieces are hand-signed by Sarah Gifford and titled Traveling Giraffes. This set includes prints 1–3 of a limited edition of 10, making it the earliest and most intimate representation of the series. See less
