Executed using traditional lost-wax casting, the bronze is hollow with approximately ¼-inch wall thickness and weighs nearly 18 pounds. Based on classical academic proportions, the original full figure is estimated to have stood approximately 6.5 to 7 feet tall. The refined modeling, naturalistic proportions, and rich, aged patina are consistent with European sculptures. Rough cut from original sculpture, this piece can be mounted, sanded for a flat even bottom or left as is.
