Folk art platform pull and rocking horse from possibly from Germany or a maker in the United States by the name of Whitney Reid. From a early Sears catalog, this was the description “The child can have a rocking horse or a platform pool horse to ride on hand, carved wooden with real horse, hair tail, long and flowing glass, eyes and exceptionally graceful, handcarved and well-made, fancy and real leather harness and seat, all metal parts, such as a bit, wheels, and stirrups are nickel plated” that pretty much sums it up!!
4” wheels length of horse is 51” by 40” tall, adjustable stirrups to 16” long. Platform can be removed from rocker by releasing two bolts. Weight approximately 50 pounds.
