Peters and Reed, the Moss Aztec umbrella stand boasts a stunning glazed red brick finish adorned with a delicate gold vine motif. Measuring at 11.5 inches in length and 23.5 inches in height, it is a true statement piece for your home. Made early 1900. Signed by (Frank) Ferrel.

John Peters and Adam Reed began manufacturing pottery in the late 1800’s in Zanesville, Ohio. Frank Ferrell came to Peters & Reed in 1906 and created the first successful art line for the company, the popular “Moss Aztec” line. Many pieces of Moss Aztec can still be found with his name or initials impressed, a rare practice in potteries of the time.
