Each plate is finished in a deep forest green glaze and molded with six oyster wells surrounding a raised lemon-shaped central reservoir, glazed in a warm yellow with delicate segment detailing. The contrast between the saturated green ground and citrus center gives the set both visual drama and classic French character.

The rope-molded rim, softly pooled glaze, and sculptural wells are hallmarks of Saint-Clément’s mid-century production, when traditional oyster service was reimagined with bolder color palettes suitable for both entertaining and decorative display.

Condition
Very good vintage condition overall. One plate shows a small chip to the reverse, not visible from the front (see last photo) and not affecting stability, stacking, or display. No cracks or repairs. Glaze remains glossy with strong color saturation throughout.
